Books are the perfect entertainment: no commercials, no batteries, hours of enjoyment for each dollar spent. What I wonder is why everybody doesn’t carry a book around for those inevitable dead spots in life.

The Art of Notwriting: Short Stories!

theartofnotwriting:

I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO TELL YOU GUYS THIS FOR MONTHS.

Short version: there are going to be Divergent e-shorts!

Four of them!

And they will be about…drumroll, please…

Four!

(See what I did there?)

And the first one will be out on September 24th!

Long version: when my publisher approached…

Photo Source: Entertainment Weekly (and pretty sure this shot was again taken by the talented Jaap Buitendijk)
Check out EW’s behind-the-scenes video on the set, too: https://www.facebook.com/entertainmentweekly/app_138939626175118
Confession: I was on set when this was likely taken, and I may have gotten a little emotional that day (and now, while looking at this photo). This is the actual Ferris wheel on Navy Pier in Chicago. So not only is it beautiful and huge, and not only are Shailene and Theo wonderful as Tris and Four, but that wheel is the real deal, the real thing I was picturing as I wrote this scene, my senior year of college, in my messy apartment with the gray shag rug that always smelled like crackers.
So, this is kind of a special moment for me. You know. A little.

My father calls the Dauntless “hellions.” They are pierced, tattooed, and black-clothed.

i am a princess
long may i reign ♥

this took me forever to get it right but i’m so proud of it

One of my favorite posts ever👌👍❤

thankyou very much

Last thing I knew Tink wasn’t a princess.

Neithers Wendy, Jane, Alice, kida, esmeralda, eilonwy, giselle or Megara but they are all beautiful women inside and out and they all have these qualities. If you don’t like my post, don’t reblog but please shut up complaining ok? ok

If you don’t like to be criticized then why are you posting? I’m not saying that these women aren’t strong, independent or any other positive treats. I wouldn’t compare these treats to a princess because they’re royalty. Their for they couldn’t go and do all of these adventure in real life. Yes there has been a slim number of princess that has done things like these but the most princess that we learned about though real history. They were all pampered they didn’t want to do all of these adventures. They’re happy where they were.

As people we need to learn the there is a strong line drawn between reality and fairy tales. Disney’s giving small children a false hope of happy ending. There is no prefect Prince Charming or a happily ever after. Most girls will find a man that well treat her right at first then he will turn on her. Her happily ever after becomes a crappy life style. The only happy endings that she well find are at the end of ever seasons.

The young boys won’t find that glass slipper that they want. The tales of Prince Charming will echo throughout their heads. They will try to be prefect but Snow White that they found becomes an old hag with a poison apple. The boys will fall in and out love to a point where they well have sex just to see if they can find something to feel in the emptiness inside of them. After watching Disney movie for 21 years has taught me that no one can give no fucks about you and your life. The only way that people well give a fuck is if you are worth something.

Now this worth you can worth to someone and only one person. That could be your mother, father, sister, brother, girlfriend, boyfriend, classmate, or an animal.

And for the people who’s found their true love and are very happy. I’m very happy for.

By the way Mulan wasn’t a princess and I think you mean “shut up and stop complaining.”

What the fuck are you all doing to my post? Grow up and get a life man. I love this post and 3,900 others do as well. So your argument is invalid.

Yeah what are you suggesting, that Disney movies come out at the end and say “Oh, by the way, 90% of you are never going to have a happy ever after”? That’s stupid. Kids deserve their happy ever afters, and so what if its somewhat unrealistic? The successful people in life are those who are able to believe in happy ever afters and are able to work towards them.

Also, being a princess has nothing to do with being royal. You’re a princess because of who you are, not what your title is. That’s why we consider Mulan, Wendy, Jane, Esmeralda and Giselle to be princesses.

Honestly, you seem like a bitter person who is determined to drag everyone down to your little pit of despair.

So please, sir, get over yourself.

(and also letstalkaboutdisney, thanks for this post. “I am a princess” is my favorite thing)

sorry for the rant everyone but I get really annoyed at people like this.

thankyou PRINCESS! ♥
